25th Annual Fall Festival Offers Something for Everyone

If you can’t find something you dig at Cecil Township’s 25th Annual Fall Festival this weekend, you won’t be able to find it anywhere.

Shirley Burns said there will be more than 60 craft vendors, myriad food booths, and a plethora of music options all snuggled into Cecil Park.

“It goes from polka to country to an Irish group,” said Burns, chairwoman of the parks and recreation board.

The opening ceremonies are slated for 11 a.m. Saturday, when a pastor will lead the convocation, a flag ceremony will take place, the Canon-McMillan High School band will play and local dignitaries will speak.

Saturday will also feature a wood carver and what Burns called this year’s “big draw”—Ruff Creek.

The band will take the main stage at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, she said.

There will also be tons of stuff for the kiddies to enjoy—from a petting zoo, to pony rides to balloon art.

And did we mention fireworks Saturday night?

Yep.

Burns said the new addition to the Fall Festival was made possible through a donation from Gateway Engineers.

The festivities continue from 10 a.m. to around 6 p.m. Sunday, with more music, food and fun.
