Budget Bill Passes in State House

State Rep. Jesse White didn't vote no—he voted 'hell no.'

After nine hours of debate, the state House passed the state budget by a vote of 113-87.

Now the bill goes to the Senate for further action.

All Democrats and two Republicans voted no.

State Rep. Jesse White, D-Cecil, who made a speech on the house floor against the bill, said that just "no" wasn't strong enough.

"I was a 'hell no' vote," he said Tuesday night. "This is a terrible budget for Pennsylvanians."
