Man Found Lying in Grass Charged With Public Intoxication
Canonsburg police responded to the following incidents.
charged a Westland man early Saturday with public intoxication after finding him lying asleep in a grassy patch near Humble Carpet on West Pike Street.
"We woke him up and he was still intoxicated," read a police report regarding Corey Jordan. "He said he walked this far and then got too tired so he laid down."
Jordan was given a ride home by officers.

DUI Charged
Canonsburg police arrested Thomas Iannetta of McMurray for suspicion of driving under the influence after officers said he traveled through a stop sign while pulling out from a parking lot on East Pike Street and Greenside Avenue.

Police said that when Iannetta was stopped he had "difficulty with motor skills," and admitted to have been drinking before police conducted field sobriety tests.
Following the results of those tests, Iannetta consented to a breath test. Canonsburg police then placed him under arrest and transported him back to the department, where a breath test showed he had a blood-alcohol content of .177 percent.
Charges will proceed by summons, a police report indicated.
Two Charged After Incident
Canonsburg police charged a City of Washington man and a borough man following an incident in the parking lot of the Seven Fields Convenience store on Euclid Avenue Saturday night.
Police said Christopher D. Thomas, of Washington, will be charged with simple assault and harassment for punching Clayton Proctor, 19, of Canonsburg, in the head.
Isaiah Yarbrough, who said he invited Proctor to Seven Fields, will be charged with conspiracy.
Playstation 3 Reported Stolen
Micah Patragas, of 255 N. Jefferson Ave. told police on Friday night that someone had stolen his Playstation 3, which was valued at $350.
Child's Toys Reported Stolen
Keith Franks, of 23 Paynee Place, told Canonsburg police on Friday that someone had stolen a 14-inch purple girls bike with a white seat and trim. It was valued at $20. Also stolen was a plastic pink and purple pull car valued at $15. The items were last seen Thursday, according to a police report.
