Neuman to Seek Second Term

State Rep. Brandon Neuman on Thursday announced his re-election bid.

State Rep. Brandon Neuman, D-North Strabane, on Thursday announced that he will seek a second term in office.

“It has been an honor to represent the 48th District this past year. I am very fortunate to represent the area where I grew up,” he said. “I was able to accomplish a great deal as a freshman legislator and I look forward to earning the support of the voters in the 48th District again."

Neuman has been appointed to the judiciary committee, aging and adult services committee, agriculture committee, and consumer affairs committee. He was also appointed to a task force that is working to reform the property tax reassessment system in the state.

Neuman was also recently appointed to a task force in Washington County that aims to enhance protection for children from sexual assault.

Over the past year, Neuman also had an identity protection bill pass through the judiciary committee.

The legislation is now awaiting a house vote. Numerous other bills have also been introduced during his first term in office.

“My goal is always to get our local residents good paying jobs and to be as accessible as possible to my constituents,” Neuman said. “I want people to feel comfortable to call me or come up to me when they see me. It’s important I answer my constituents, they put me here.”
