There were no injuries in a one-vehicle accident that happened Saturday afternoon in the 1700 block of state Route 980 in Cecil, a Washington County 911 supervisor confirmed.

First responders at the scene said the car crashed into the awning covering the gas pumps at the former 980 Express before coming to rest on one of the pumps there.

Glass and tail lights were found 40 yards from the location of impact, according to first responders on the scene.

The Muse Volunteer Fire Department was called to clear up a fuel spill as a result, first responders said.

Cecil Township Police Department and SouthBridge EMS also responded to the scene, according to first responders.

I live down 980 towards McDonald, and found grill parts from this vehicle right in front of my driveway today. Must have fallen off the tow truck. I don't know how this could have happened. These pumps are WAY off the road.

Thank God nobody was injured. I pray that those affected will not have any long term emotional injuries from this accident.
