Washington County Judge Gary Gilman on Thursday granted a temporary protection from abuse order to the wife of .

The Observer-Reporter in Washington reported that Angela Dalessandro sought the order, saying her husband, Jeffrey Dalessandro, "was prescribed medication for depression, and when he doesn’t take that medication he becomes 'very aggressive and can’t control his anger.'"

Jeffrey Dalessandro, 35, of , was charged Wednesday by state police in Corry, PA, with homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, two counts of DUI, involuntary manslaughter and other offenses following a crash that killed an Edinboro man.

GoErie.com reported that police said Dallesandro was driving impaired "when his eastbound truck crossed the center line on Route 6 in Union Township at about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday and struck a westbound Chevrolet Blazer driven by 21-year-old Daryl L. Nunemaker. Nunemaker was pronounced dead at the scene."

Dalessandro has been employed by the state police for nine years, a police spokesman told GoErie.com.

Dalessandro is scheduled to appear at 1 p.m. Feb. 17 before district Judge Carol L. Southwick in Erie County, online court records show.
