Swim Programs Slated at Canonsburg Middle School

Here's what you need to know to get your swim on!

The Community Partnership of Mon Valley YMCA and Canon-McMillan School District is sponsoring two programs—family swim and lap swim.

Family swim is open to everyone, but children younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. It will be held at Canonsburg Middle School on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. through March. Fee is $2 per person, with children under 10 charged $1.

Lap swim is held at the middle school Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. for adults only. The fee is $2 per person.

For more information, contact Steve Leonardi at 724-263-6279.

Teaching children to swim at a very early age is also a very good means of teaching them hand to eye coordination, as well as to invigorate their muscles

I wish I would of had the opportunity to learn when i was young, my dad can't swim either and when I lived in Washington, the school didn't have a swimming pool. :/ Never knew about lessons at the park or anything, what a wonderful opportunity.
