Visions for Vacancies: What Should Move Into This Building?
The signs still says Dairy Queen, but no soft serve is being doled out here. What kind of business should move into this building?
So, Canonsburg residents: It used to be a place of soft-serve ice cream (maybe with sprinkles, maybe without), and other frozen delights.
Now it sits vacant on West Pike Street in the borough.
My question?
With such a prime location, what should move on in? What kind of business would you support here?
Tell me in the comments section!

I would like to see it become a dairy queen again. In addition to the ice cream, it could sell a limited menu of other items such as hot dogs, hamburgers, etc

I have to agree with you guys - it would be great to be able to get ice cream and have another option for lunch, too.

A more localized cafe/coffee shop would be nice too. Like Amanda said, another option lunch would be wonderful! Or ice cream, I can dig it!

The owner had a chance to make it a DQ, but he did not want to put in a grill, fryers, ect he said that he would have to extend the building and that it would take away some parking, There have been, many, many, many people and other companies that wanted to purchase that property but he wanted way too much for the property ($800,000-$1,000,000) that was years ago. Im not sure if he is even still around. Its a SHAME that nothing has moved in there. Its in a very high traffic area, and would create a dozen or so jobs for Canonsburg

I would like Dairy Queen to come back. I have many fond memories of going there after a baseball or soccer game as a kid. I would like my son to experience the same. How many of us remember hearing the coach say "If we win, I'm buying Dairy Queen!"?
Just my two cents.....
