Zumba Class to Benefit Jameson's Army
Several instructors will hold a Zumba fundraiser Thursday to benefit the Cecil Township nonprofit.
They say that sometimes it takes a village. In this case, it takes an army—Jameson’s Army.
The nonprofit aims to raise awareness and money for those affected by congenital heart disease, and this Thursday you can be one of its soldiers and get a Zumba workout at the same time.
Kate Speer, Leslie Koon and Jess McCort will be holding a class from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Generations room in the Cecil Township Municipal Building.
“Are you ready to ditch the workout and join the party? Have fun, workout, and support a great cause?” Speer said in an email to Patch. “Zumba is a fun dance-based fitness class that is great for all levels and ages.”
It's $7 for the class and 100 percent of the admission will benefit Jameson's Army, which was founded by Jameson McKain's parents (who live in Cecil Township).
