2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 

I chose this verse today because it reminds us that once we make the decision to follow Christ, we become a "new person". We should make a conscious effort to begin "cleaning up our act". We should make an effort to resist the temptation to fall back into our old sinful ways. For some folks that may be drinking, or drugs, or sexual promiscuity, or whatever sins we have. Although it won't be easy, and at times we may backslide, we must make the effort to change.
