What's Up Tuesday: N. Strabane Supervisors Voting on Meadows Tax Settlement, Gas Lease

North Strabane Township Board of Supervisors on Tuesday is expected to take action on both a Marcellus Shale gas lease, as well as a settlement agreement regarding a tax assessment appeal by The Meadows Racetrack & Casino.

Those items and more are on the agenda for the meeting, which will be held in the township building at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

If supervisors sign off on the tax appeal settlement ratified by the Canon-McMillan School Board, the township would be required to remit a one-time refund to The Meadows in the amount of $310,830. To read more information on the issue of the tax assessment appeal, click here.
