Frank Sarris Public Library Reaches Out to Homeschool Families

Thursday's event is the first of many.

This week, the Frank Sarris Public Library will be offering a special event for Valentine's Day—a party for exclusively for homeschool students and cyber-school families.

Library Director Peggy Tseng said the the library is striving to establish a strong, working relationship with the local homeschool community and noted that this party is the first in a series of events planned for homeschool students and cyber-school families.

The party will be held from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. this Thursday, Feb. 14, and families are invited to call the library at 724-745-1308 to register.

Children may bring their own valentines to share or make some at the library. Each child is asked to bring a shoebox to make a mailbox for the valentines.

Older children are asked to help.

Refreshments will be served.
