Gallery: Creating A Carnival

The carnival, sponsored by the Cecil Township Volunteer Fire Department, runs nightly through Saturday.

Just like that, the parking lot sandwiched between the Cecil Township Volunteer Fire Department and the recently opened Salon 50 was transformed into a carnival.

Actually, workers setting up Monday morning said the process takes just five hours.

The carnival, sponsored annually by the Cecil Volunteer Fire Department, runs nightly through Saturday.

By late Monday morning, the formerly vacant space had the look and feel of a carnival thanks to game and food booths and myriad rides for youngsters.

And what would a carnival be without a ferris wheel?

That ride could be seen touching the sky long before passing it by car where it sits off Millers Run Road.
