PennDOT Announces Emergency Repairs on Weavertown Road

The roadwork could begin as soon as tonight.

PennDOT is alerting motorists of single-lane restrictions on Weavertown Road in the area between Morganza Road and the Interstate 79 overpass.

The single-lane restrictions controlled by flaggers will be in place between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Weather permitting, the work may begin today—Dec. 11—and continue through Thursday.

If delayed the work will begin on Wednesday and continue through Friday.

The restrictions will be in place in order to allow crews to perform milling and paving and perform base repairs to eliminate rutting and wash-boarding on the roadway.

PennDOT officials reminds motorists to drive with caution and be alert to changing road conditions.
