Markings Back On Cecil Township Road

The double yellow lines and other road markings are back on state Route 980 in Cecil Township and Canonsburg.

The road was without the markings for several weeks following the throughway being tarred and chipped by the state Department of Transportation.

First responders in Cecil Township earlier this month said the lack of markings was one of many public safety issues on the road.

Sen. Tim Solobay, D-Cecil, agreed and said earlier this month that he reached out to PennDOT to demand the markings be returned.

The lines were reprinted sometime late last week.
