The creation of the army was inspired by 2-year-old Jameson McKain’s ongoing battle with hyponastic left heart syndrome.

Jameson was born missing the left side of his heart. He has undergone six open heart surgeries and a successful heart transplant. Jameson is doing well but it is an ongoing process that is never easy.

Jameson’s Army helps to ease this road for other children and families that are on a similar journey.

On Friday, April 12 Jameson’s Army will hold its second annual Green Heart Gala from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the LeMont Restaurant in Mt. Washington, Pittsburgh.
