Get Out: Go Grab Some Fun This Weekend

From The Four Townsman to a "moooosical" there is plenty to do this weekend.

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

Canon-McMillan Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our top picks for this weekend to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Where?/When?: , 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., Thursday

Why Go?: This one-day class will be offered in the McNary Conference Center at Canonsburg General Hospital. This is a medically oriented instruction series that teaches boys and girls, ages 11-13, how to handle emergencies when caring for young children. Participants will learn basic lifesaving techniques, safety tips to prevent accidents, how and when to summon help, basic child care tips and age appropriate activities. Where?/When?: Michaels in Washington, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., today

Why Go?: Michaels continues its Passport to Fun summer program with an Australian craft. Ages 3 and up will create Australian aboriginal art and a koala bear, while supplies last.

Why Go?: Local artists will display their work throughout downtown Canonsburg. The exhibit will be featured through Sunday.

Why Go?: The Main Street Farmers Market will have produce and other locally made products each and every week. The market also features local musicians and an educational tent.

Why Go?: "Dooby Dooby Moo" is based on the book by Doreen Cronin. The show features a Talent Show at the County Fair with farm animals. Everyone in the family will enjoy this "mooooosical!"

Why Go?: Ages 3 and older will create this Tow Truck kit that comes with stickers a working tow hook.

Why Go?: Ages 3 and older will create projects that reflect India's colorful culture. Projects include a creative henna hand and craft elephant.

Why Go?: The expo is in celebration of Coleman-Taylor's 75 years of funeral services. Area organizations and businesses will be displaying info on aging. The expo is free to public and lite refreshments with be served.

Why Go?: The Little Lake's Looking Glass Theatre will celebrate their 40th birthday with the community. The party includes face-painting, cookie-decoration, sing-a-longs and more! !
