Last Chance: Vote Now for Pop Hall of Fame Inductees

Hurry, music enthusiasts can only vote through Dec. 31.

With only days to vote, neither of Canonsburg's famous crooners—Perry Como and Bobby Vinton—are making the cut to gain entrance to the America's Pop Music Hall of Fame, based in the borough.

Borough officials said thousands of folks have already voted for performers such as Elvis Presley, the Beatles and others.

"So, Canonsburg, it's up to you to make certain our local crooners are part of the initial induction ceremonies, which are scheduled for July of 2013," borough Manager Terry Hazlett said.

The Hall of Fame committee will soon be opening a temporary home for the venue on West Pike Street as it secures funding for a permanent location.
