Old-Fashioned Christmas Planned for Saturday

Bring the kids to see Santa and more in Canonsburg this weekend.

Now that Thanksgiving is over, Canonsburg is looking toward the next holiday: Christmas.

The borough's annual Old-Fashioned Christmas, featuring the Santa luncheon, will be held Saturday in the downtown area.

For the first time, the Santa luncheon will be held at the Frank Sarris Public Library, with seatings at 11 a.m., 12:15 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The $5 ticket includes lunch, a goodie bag and a photo with Santa. For reservations, call 724-745-1812.

Other activities include a Christmas Craft and Vendor Fair at St. Patrick’s Church from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Christmas craft making at the library from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Canonsburg Volunteer Fire Department tours from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., hay rides and train rides from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and hot chocolate at H&R Block from noon to 2 p.m.

The Canonsburg Middle School Chorus will also perform at noon at the library.
