Tickets for Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Now On Sale

Ticket sales to 2012-13 season productions can now be purchased!

Canonsburg, Cecil and North Strabane theatergoers—listen up! 

As Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre approaches its October season premiere, single-ticket sales for 2012-13 season productions can now be purchased.

This upcoming season features Pittsburgh premieres, family favorites and a mixed repertory performance at the August Wilson Center. The five production line-up includes Giselle, The Nutcracker, Moulin Rouge—The Ballet, Unspoken and Cinderella.

Single ticket prices range from $25.75 to $95.75 and will be available online at www.pbt.org, by calling 412-456-6666, or visiting the box office at Theater Square.

Giselle with the Orchestra

Oct. 26-28, Benedum Center

Presented with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Orchestra, this great Romantic era ballet offers the quintessential dramatic role of the ballerina. Shattered by a lover’s lie, descending into madness and death, Giselle’s spirit is fated to revenge. Only Albrecht’s true love can break the supernatural bond of evil that reaches beyond the grave.

The Nutcracker

Dec. 7-30, Benedum Center

The magic of the holidays comes alive with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s classic The Nutcracker. Surrender to the grand sweep of Tchaikovsky’s score and the wonders of childhood. The expert staging of Terrence S. Orr brings this holiday tradition to Pittsburgh’s doorstep, and invites you to join Marie on an enchanted sleigh ride past swirling snowflakes to the land of enchantment.

Moulin Rouge — The Ballet

Feb. 14-17, 2013, Benedum Center

In turn of the century Paris, a city of exquisite contradiction, the heady elixir of personal freedom bred lifestyles both reckless and addictive. Tempt fate as you seek love and destiny at the famed cabaret—The Moulin Rouge. Along with a rousing French soundtrack, Moulin Rouge—The Ballet features high-kicking choreography and a passionate story of love, ambition and heartbreak. In the spirit of the Moulin Rouge of Paris, Moulin Rouge is a registered trademark of Moulin Rouge S.A.

Unspoken

March 8-17, 2013, August Wilson Center

Join PBT at the intimate August Wilson Center for an evening of captivating choreography by three masters: Antony Tudor, George Balanchine and Mark Morris. Featuring Tudor’s evocative Lilac Garden, Balanchine’s dynamic classical work, Valse Fantaisie, and Mark Morris’ energetic Drink To Me Only With Thine Eyes, this evening’s choreography speaks in ways words cannot.

Cinderella with the Orchestra

April 19-21, 2013, Benedum Center

Closing the PBT 2012-13 season happily ever after is the enchanting story of Cinderella. The choreography, humor and dancing supported by the acclaimed Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Orchestra will delight audience members of all ages.
