Hometown Doo Wop and New Nashville Talent Featured at The Meadows

Check out the entertainment lineup for October at the North Strabane Township venue

Officials from The Meadows Racetrack & Casino unveiled its entertainment line-up for October—which features famous national acts with local roots and a Nashville music star.

The month of October is highlighted by The Marcels—the guys who put the "Bomp" in the "Bomp-A-Bomp" back in 1961 with their first recording "Blue Moon."

The hit record sold more than 2.5 million copies.

October also features another Pittsburgh-related act—The Jaggerz.

As one of Pittsburgh's music legends, The Jaggerz are celebrating their 46th nnniversary this year. Original members Jimmie Ross and Benny Faiella carry on the band's signature sound of great harmonies.

On the country side of music, The Meadows will host Natalie Stovall, who was named 2012 Entertainer of the Year by the voters of Campus Activities Magazine in the Reader’s Choice Awards.

Stovall blends her country/roots background with a strong rock sensibility. Her fiddle-shredding shows are bred for wide variety of audiences.
