Why Go?: Enjoy this musical comedy at Little Lake Theatre. Three actors play 15 different characters in five different restaurants searching for one true love.

Why Go?: Come enjoy the 13th Annual Bavarian Oktoberfest in downtown Canonsburg! Enjoy your favorite German foods and entertainment and add that extra fun twist that only Canonsburg can provide. The event also features kids’ activities, music, the Pittsburgh Railway and more!

Why Go?: Pottery Barn rolls out the red carpet for the anticipated Blu-ray release of the Star Wars saga. Dress up as your favorite character and bring your camera for a photo op, giveaways, and chance to win a Blu-ray box set.

Where/When: St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday

Why Go?: St. Paul's Outreach Commission presents a Buy Fresh, Buy Local buffet dinner. The event will raise funds for the rebuilding of the Episcopal cathedral in Port-au-Prince, Haiti as well as other local projects. The theme for the dinner will showcase local nutritious fresh foods in this harvest season and celebrate Pennsylvania's tradition of farming. The meal will feature many local products, including meats, vegetables and fruits. Tickets will be on sale Sept. 11 after church services, or in the church office weekdays.  

Pricing: $10 for adults and teens and $5 for children ages 5-12.

Why Go?: Come sample Bedner's homegrown, farm-fresh veggies. You'll love these easy and healthy dishes that are prepared with the farm's seasonal produce and herbs. Recipes will be available to take home. The farm will post will be available to sample every Friday on the Taste of Bedner's Facebook page.

Why Go?: Pittsburgh Youth Ballet Company is holding two open auditions. The schedule is 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for the Junior Company, ages 6 to 12; and 2:30 to 4 p.m. for the Senior Company, ages 12 to 21. Dancers should wear class colors if they are a student of PYBC school. Participants should please arrive 30 minutes prior for registration.

Why Go?: Bring the family to the Fall Family Matinee! The Little Lake Theatre presents Anne of Green Gables based on the novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Anne and her friends will visit you as you enjoy tea or lemonade, sandwiches and yummy dessert treats.
