North Strabane Lawmaker Takes A Swing Against Breast Cancer

State Rep. Brandon Neuman hit the first home run of the day during a derby in Erie Tuesday.

State Rep. Brandon Neuman swung for the proverbial fences Tuesday - and registered the first home run at an Erie derby that supports breast cancer research.

The democratic lawmaker from North Strabane and his team, know as Neuman's crew, competed in the event sponsored by the PA Breast Cancer Coalition.

This was the third year in a row that the four-man crew competed in the event.

Neuman was joined by teammates Nick Bridge, Joe Oliphant and George Strasbaugh.

In 2011, the team was victorious - placing first in the derby.

This year? It took two tries, but Neuman's Crew was again victorious.
