A New Year, a New You

Whether you resolved to start volunteering or to quit smoking, your library can help with your New Year's resolutions!

Here we are, two weeks into the new year and it's probably a safe bet that many a resolution have already been broken.  If one of yours for the year was to get active in your community and volunteer, we hope that you'll keep one particular regional asset in mind!

Volunteers 16 and older are always welcome at the Frank Sarris Public Library to help keep our collections in order and schedules are flexible.  Special opportunities are also available for helping with our garden area or assisting patrons with computer questions.  Volunteer coordinator Lorraine Berner would love to hear from you to help in the library.  Please contact her at library at 724-745-1308 or stop in and fill out an application (it is also available here as an attachment).

If, by chance, you've made other resolutions this year and you need a little assistance sticking to them, we'd certainly be happy to try to help! To the left of the main circulation desk, you'll find books offering help with, among other things, quitting smoking, getting fit and gaining your financial freedom. Not only can you find books on these subjects, but dozens more can be found by doing a keyword search of the catalog.
