The Frank Sarris Public Library has many events planned for February and beyond...why not give 'em a try?

As was mentioned in the previous post, the programs listed there were just the tip of the metaphorical iceberg.  The Frank Sarris Public Library is also offering these programs in the coming weeks...

  • Monday, February 18 - 6pm - Take a trip to the Carribean!
    Whether you're planning your honeymoon or your family vacation, you'll want to come for this Worldview Travel presentation to learn about the luxurious accommodations and activities available in Jamaica, Antigua, St Lucia, Bahamas and Turks and Caicos islands. Be sure to call to save a spot - and one for a friend!
  • Wednesday, February 20 at 7:00pm - Friends of the Library Meeting
    Please join us for the Friends of the Library's first meeting of the new year...New members are always welcome and forms are available at the first floor circulation desk.
  • Thursday, February 21 at 6:30 - Family Night
    Family Nights are a Story-Time for all ages from toddler to adult! Each week, there will be stories, crafts, and games and the theme of the week is COWBOYS and -GIRLS. Advance registration for this free program is appreciated.
  • Saturday, February 23 (10:30- 11:30) - Play Day
    1st-3rd grades: Get out of the house and have some fun! Sign up now, and mark your calendar to come in and learn some classic and well-loved games. (Program fee is just $1 per person)
  • Monday, February 25 (6-7:30) - Soap Making
    Register now and learn how to make scented bath soaps. Adults, 11th and 12th graders are welcome. Materials are provided for the $2 fee.
  • Thursday, February 28 (4-5:30) - Middle School Manicure
    Come to the library and learn a technique to make your nails look as if you just stepped out of a salon - at no charge (advance registration requested)! Seventh and eighth grades only. Each student will receive an emery board and an orange stick.
  • Thursday, February 28 at 6:30 - Family Night
    Family Nights are a Story-Time for all ages from toddler to adult! Each week, there will be stories, crafts, and games. Tonight we're having a READ ACROSS AMERICA party, celebrating the birthday (on Saturday the 2nd!) of the king of Easy Reader books, Dr. Seuss! Advance registration for this free program is appreciated.
