With all of the genres out there, I must admit to playing favorites...I just can't pass up a good mystery. The sub-genre doesn't seem to matter much - "cozy" mystery, romantic suspense, police procedural, each has its own appeal and each can be found right here at your local library.
In a matter of little more than a week - on July 5 at 1 p.m. to be exact - something else can be found at your library...a mysterious visitor! Mark your calendar, set your alarm, and bring a friend to join us for an afternoon talk about the history of mysteries in general and the hard-boiled detective in particular.
Giving too much away just wouldn't do, but we are willing to tell you that this visitor is a local author whose latest work is set in the Pittsburgh area. To whet your appetite (albeit a different one) a bit, we'll also tell you that light refreshments will be served.
Reserve your seat by calling the library at 724-745-1308!
