Rep. White Sends Letter to DEP Secretary Krancer with Concerns and Questions

Without a strong and fair DEP, the Marcellus boom will not have the long-term sustainability needed to generate the long-term goals of energy independence and economic benefits for the region.

This is a copy of the letter I sent to DEP Secretary Krancer addressing the unanswered concerns about water quality testing issues near Marcellus Shale drilling sites in Pennsylvania. Rather than engage in a meaningless exchange of non-answers, I have asked ten specific questions for the Secretary to answer.

You can see the letter by clicking on the attachment or by clicking here.

I want to be clear about this. Anyone who favors responsible development of Marcellus Shale should be demanding the highest levels of transparency and accountability from the DEP. Without a strong and fair DEP, the Marcellus boom will not have the long-term sustainability needed to generate the long-term goals of energy independence and economic benefits for the region.

So true! Most private water wells do not meet EPA standards for drinking water. PA has no regulations and most people do not test their water unless there's a problem.

Want to see how fundamentally dirty a smear campaign EID like to play with anyone who dares to oppose fracking? See: http://eidmarcellus.org/marcellus-shale/natural-gas-opponents-at-shaleshock-media-make-it-up/16684/ Wendy Lynne Lee

Here they come folks. I'll let you people take it from here.

Keep your Shaleshock anti-gas anti-gun crap in your own backyard in Susquehanna County. We don't want it here in our "industrial wasteland" in Washington County that you people refer too you when you spread your rheteric and lies. And if you believe the film The Promised Land to be truth then you are probably also waiting for Luke Skywalker to pick you up and take you into outer space.
