Obituary: Eric J. Gennuso, of Cecil

Eric Joseph Gennuso, 45, of Cecil, died unexpectantly Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013.

He was born Jan. 12, 1968 in Pittsburgh, son of Don and Joan Koval Gennuso.

He was a member of St. Mary Parish. He enjoyed golf, was an avid steeler fan, and loved his dogs Zoe and Jazz. Eric had a heart of gold and helped many neighbors and friends.

He graduated from Canon-McMillan High School and St. Francis Nursing School as an registered nurse and was employed by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield as a manager of the health management service team.

Surviving are his parents, wife Kathy Gennuso,  daughter Jessica Gennuso, both of Cecil, two brothers, Donald A. (Lori) Gennuso of Cecil, and Gregory A. (Jaye) Gennuso of Pittsburgh, nephew and niece, Alex and Victoria Gennuso, and a great-great aunt, Frances Suzio of Pittsburgh,

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Tony and Ann Gennuso, and maternal grandparents, Joseph and Ann Koval.

Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Home at 3378 Millers Run Road in Cecil,  where prayers of transfer will be said at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, followed by a Christian Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Cecil, at 9:30 a.m. with Father Stan Gregorek officiating.

Interment will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Cecil.
