Obituary: Mary Ann Banko

Mary Ann Lukanski Banko, 63, of Southview, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 in Washington Hospital.

She was born May 6, 1949 in Washington, daughter of the late John L. Sr. and Stella Tkaczuk Lukanski.

She was a member of St. Mary Parish. She enjoyed cooking, and baking, gardening. walking, golfing, and spending time with family.

She worked as a elementary cafeteria worker for Fort Cherry School District and Black Box Corporation in Lawrence as an assembler.

Surviving are her husband, Edward Banko of Southview, three daughters, Sheri (Steve) Kitzmiller of Southview, Tracey Mastic of Canonsburg, and Maria (Greg) Pond of Southview, five grandchildren, Robby Mastic, Isabella and Evan Pond, and Jackson and Sophia Kitzmiller, Brother, John L., Jr. (Marcia) Lukanski of Southview, and two sisters, Patricia (Wayne) Roth of Southview, and Carolyn (Donald) Vosnick of Shrewsbury, PA.

Friends will be received 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 13 at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, where prayers of transfer will be said Monday, Jan. 14, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Christian Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church at 10 a.m. with Father Stan Gregorek officiating.

Interment will follow in the St. Patrick's Cemetery, Canonsburg.
