Obituary: Vera Blum, Longtime Canonsburg Resident

Vera Blum, 91, of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 in Canonsburg General Hospital.

She was born Nov. 1, 1921 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Steve and Bertha Thomas Puskar. She was a homemaker. She was a lifelong resident of Canonsburg, and was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.

Surviving are two sons, Michael Blum, and his wife Patty, of Newport, NC; Kevin Blum, and his wife Chris, of Washington; two daughters, Bev Fedorak, and her husband William, of Canonsburg; Diane Bushko, and her husband Pete, of Canonsburg; seven grandchildren, Michael (Angel); Tawnya (Dennis); Diane (Rick); Kevin (Missy); Tiffany (Dean); Lindsay; and Kara; seven great-grandchildren, Brycen; Julia; Alexys; Ricky; Aiden; Logan; and Parker; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, Robert F. "Mickey" Blum, three brothers, James, Steve, and William Puskar, and her sister, Sara Mosko.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Sollon Funeral Home, located at 30 E. College St., Canonsburg. Service information will be published when arrangements are finalized.
