Vilma Elizabeth Refosco, 85, of Houston, formerly of Hill Station, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012 in her home.
She was born March 14, 1927 in Croghan, N.Y., a daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth Hongo Amosky.
She was an avid bowler, card player and enjoyed visiting , traveling—and especially enjoyed family parties and gatherings.
Surviving are her son, Lawrence Refosco (Linda) of Lawrence, daughters Madeline Theilet (Adrian) of Lawrence, Lizbeth Refosco of Washington, Christine Cohen (Fred) of Florida, Deborah McNary (Don) of Bentleyville, Gaylynn Matyuf (Greg) of McDonald, adopted daughter Jay Birnbaum (Gerry) of Connecticut, as well as 10 grandchildren—Michelle, Larry, Bobbi Jo, Chuck, Lawrence Jr., Thor, Amanda, Donny, Laura and Alice. Also surviving are give great-grandchildren, Jacob, Zachery, Zane, Travis and Sydney.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Refosco.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The time of services will be 7:30 p.m. that evening, with the Rev. James O’Brien officiating at , 30 E. College St. in Canonsburg.
