71-Year-Old Woman Injured in Canonsburg Crash in Stable Condition

Members of the Canonsburg Volunteer Fire Department needed to cut Bertha Kazak of 1115 McEwen Ave. out of the vehicle Monday.

The 71-year-old woman injured in a one-vehicle crash at the corner or Gladden and Martin roads in Canonsburg Monday night is reportedly in stable condition, according to a borough police report.

Police said officers arrived at the scene after a caller reported to Washington County 911 that a silver Mercedes was overturned in the yard of 601 Gladden Road around 8:20 p.m.

Members of the Canonsburg Volunteer Fire Department needed to cut Bertha Kazak of 1115 McEwen Ave. out of the vehicle—and a police report indicated that she had multiple injuries.

Kazak was flown to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment, and a police report indicated that hospital officials told officers the woman was in stable condition Monday night.

A call to Allegheny General Hospital for Kazak’s patient condition was not immediately returned Tuesday morning.
