Members of the Canonsburg Volunteer Fire Department needed to cut Bertha Kazak of 1115 McEwen Ave. out of the vehicle Monday.

The 71-year-old woman injured in a one-vehicle crash at the corner or Gladden and Martin roads in Canonsburg Monday night is reportedly in stable condition, according to a borough police report.

Police said officers arrived at the scene after a caller reported to Washington County 911 that a silver Mercedes was overturned in the yard of 601 Gladden Road around 8:20 p.m.

Members of the Canonsburg Volunteer Fire Department needed to cut Bertha Kazak of 1115 McEwen Ave. out of the vehicle—and a police report indicated that she had multiple injuries.

Kazak was flown to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment, and a police report indicated that hospital officials told officers the woman was in stable condition Monday night.

A call to Allegheny General Hospital for Kazak’s patient condition was not immediately returned Tuesday morning.

It was not immediately clear what caused the crash. Police are investigating.
