Blotter: Burglary, Criminal Mischief and Theft Investigated in Cecil

Cecil Township police ask anyone with information on the incidents to call the department.

Cecil Township police are investigating a burglary from Gianna Marie’s Pizza, located at 432 Georgetown Road.

Gianna Fani told police that someone had entered the store between 10:30 p.m.  Saturday and when she called officers around 7:45 p.m. Sunday.

Fani noticed that the counter was in disarray upon entering the building, and further inspection revealed that loose change and a laptop were taken.

But, when she walked back outside there the items were: Sitting on the ground, she told police.

Fani told police the items were not there when she first entered the building.

More Criminal Mischief Reported at Hilton Garden Inn

Officials from the Hilton Garden Inn in Southpointe told Cecil police early Saturday morning that the Coca-Cola machines on each of its floors were broken into and damaged. The extent of the damage and the amount of money taken was not immediately known, police said.

Police have responded to several similar incidents reported at the hotel.

Woman’s Bike Stolen

Alysha Lesjak, of First St. in Lawrence, told Cecil police on Saturday that someone had taken her purple Huffy bike from off her back porch. She told police she believed the bike had been stolen sometime between Thursday and Friday.

The bike is reportedly valued at $180, police said.
