Blotter: Theft of Copper Reported in Cecil Township

Police are investigating two separate incidents.

Cecil Township police said the department is seeking information about theft of copper from the Hill Station Manor housing plan this week.

Lt. Shawn Bukovinsky said an employee from Brooks & Blair Homes reported the theft at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, telling police that someone had stolen copper from various locations throughout the work site.

Much of the copper, Bukovinsky said, was taken from ditches dug for plumbing that had not yet  been backfilled. It was not clear how much copper was stolen, or what the value of the metal was.
