Blotter: Man Found Lying in Road Cited, Teen Charged With Underage Drinking

Here is Canonsburg's police blotter.

A Canonsburg man was charged with public drunkenness by borough police after being found lying in the middle of Elm Street early Saturday morning.

Police said Ryan T. Riley, 21, of Boone Ave., “appeared highly intoxicated as he could barely stand up.”

According to a police report, Riley told police he had been at D’s Locker Room and got tired several times while walking home.

The charge will proceed by summons.

Teen Charged With Underage Drinking

An 18-year-old Canonsburg man was placed under arrest Saturday night by borough police for underage drinking after police responded to 420 Euclid Ave. for a report of an alleged underage drinking party.

When officers arrived, they discovered Jeremy Honyady, who admitted to police he had consumed three mixed drink.

He was arrested and taken to the Canonsburg Police Department, where he was released to his parents.

Police said the adult responsible for the property would be charged at a later date.

Fuel Spill Reported

Canonsburg police and the borough’s volunteer fire department responded to a fuel spill at the Gas & Go Saturday around 7:15 p.m. According to a police report, about 10 to 15 gallons of fuel spilled from the hose that transfers the gasoline from the truck to the tanks in the ground.

Police said the fire department would send the bill for cleanup to the company that owns the truck, Glassmere Fuel Services.
