Blotter: Theft of Copper Investigated

Canonsburg police are investigating the recent theft of copper from a residence.

Canonsburg police are investigating the theft of copper from a home on West College Street.

Richard Stefanyszyn, who was working to repair the house that is owned by Citi Mortgage Co., called police Tuesday to report that someone had entered it and removed the copper piping.

Canonsburg police said someone removed the copper at 166 W. College Street by hand. The copper stolen had an estimated value of about $1,500.
