Bulldog Accused of Mauling Second Dog, State Dog Warden Investigating

The Daschund suffered a lacerated liver and other internal injuries on Friday.

The state dog warden is investigating a dog attack in Canonsburg.

Authorities tell WPXI that a bulldog mauled a Daschund on Friday, and that it is the second time the bulldog has attacked another dog. 

The Daschund Sutty suffered a lacerated liver, ripped stomach muscles and other internal injuries, according to the report.

According to a Patch reader, other neighbors have had concerns about the dog in the neighborhood and spoke to the Canonsburg Council about the problem on Monday night.

Reached Tuesday, borough Manager Bob Kipp said that residents spoke out about the dog, which he said is a concern.

And he added that the borough is taking action.

The animal control officer and police chief, Kipp said, are working with the state warden to mitigate the issue.

"We heard the residents loud and clear," he said.
