Canonsburg Man Arrested on Drug Charges

His bail was set at $50,000.

Savvy police work helped lead to the arrest Friday of a suspected drug dealer in Canonsburg, Mayor David H. Rhome said.

Canonsburg police charged Eric Chronister, 29, with possession of drugs, possession of drugs with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arrested Friday after police served a search warrant on his home and discovered pounds of marijuana compressed in bricks, as well as paraphernalia, the Observer-Reporter indicated.

Chronister was arraigned before district Judge David Mark, who remanded him to the Washington County Jail on $50,000 bond, according to online court records.

Chronister is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on the charges at 10:30 a.m. Thursday before Mark.

"Getting drugs out of our communities is of the utmost importance to me as mayor," Rhome said. "Great police work came into play here."
