Canonsburg Man Charged With Corruption of Minor Held for Court

Jason Mooney remained in Washington County Jail on $50,000 bond following his preliminary hearing Thursday.

A Canonsburg man charged by borough police with  possessing material that depicts a sex act of a child and corruption of a minor was held for court Thursday, online court records show.

Jason Mooney, 42, was charged Oct. 2 and arraigned before district Judge David Mark who remanded him to the Washington County Jail after he was unable to post a $50,000 bond.

He was still listed as an inmate there Thursday afternoon.

The Observer-Reporter newspaper indicated on its website that the charges relate to Mooney having a 12-year-old girl send him a nude photograph.
