Canonsburg Man Jailed For Alleged Robbery of Wal-Mart

A Canonsburg man accused of grabbing money out of a cash register at the South Strabane Walmart earlier this month was jailed Tuesday on robbery and other charges.

South Strabane police on Tuesday charged Jacob Anderson, of Canonsburg, with robbery, theft and conspiracy.

The alleged incident took place July 8, according to online court records.

Anderson was arraigned Tuesday before district Judge James Ellis and remanded to the Washington County Jail after being unable to post a $50,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear before district Judge Jay Weller July 23 for a preliminary hearing on the charges.

Anderson remained in the Washington County Jail as of Monday morning.
