Cecil Police Blotter: Two Arrested for Alleged DUI, Criminal Mischief Reported

Here are the latest police reports out of Cecil Township:

Man Charged With DUI After Being Pulled Over for Speeding
Cecil police said a township man was pulled over for speeding and ended up being arrested for two counts of driving under the influence Sunday night.

Police initiated a traffic stop in the 3900 block of Millers Run Road around 11:30 p.m. after officers observed a car driving 55 mph in a 35 mph zone.

When officers made contact with the driver, identified as Jeffrey Livolsi, they asked him to perform field sobriety tests.

Police said Livolsi showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for suspected DUI.

He was transported to the Cecil Township Police Department for a breath test. That test showed that Livolsi's blood-alcohol content was .157 percent—almost twice the legal limit for intoxication.

In addition to the DUI charges, police charged Livolsi with exceeding the maximum speed limit.

The charges will proceed by summons.

Gas Pump Damaged
A clerk at the Sunoco on Millers Run Road in Cecil Township told officers that a woman broke the handle off a gas pump Saturday afternoon.

While the woman told the clerk about the damage, she refused to provide insurance information when asked.

The damage to the pump was estimated to be about $420.

Police are investigating.

Man Charged With DUI After Reportedly Crossing Center Traffic Line
Cecil Township police charged a North Strabane man with driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Southpointe Boulevard early Saturday morning.

Police said a vehicle being driven by Francis Cole, of Morgan Circle, was pulled over after officers observed it cross the center traffic line several times around 2:45 a.m.

Police said the odor of alcohol was emanating from Cole—and that officers asked him to step out of the vehicle to perform field sobriety tests.

Police said Cole showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for suspicion on driving under the influence.

He was transported to the Cecil Township Police Department, where a breath test showed he had a blood-alcohol content of .165 percent—more than twice the legal limit for intoxication.

The charges will proceed by summons.
