Fire Chief Resigns After DUI Charge

Cecil Township officials confirmed that Don Hindman has resigned his position as fire chief.

Don Hindman has resigned his position as chief of the Lawrence Volunteer Fire Department, township officials said Tuesday.

after police said he responded to a medical call while intoxicated.

The township was told that Randy Hindman will step in as chief until the volunteer fire company’s line officers can meet.

Don Hindman could not immediately be reached for comment at work Tuesday.
