Cecil Township police said the incident happened Wednesday afternoon.

A Cecil Township man taken by ambulance Wednesday afternoon to Allegheny General in Pittsburgh after falling more than 20 feet from a tree stand was listed in fair condition Thursday, a hospital spokeswoman confirmed.

Cecil Township police said that Steve Powell, 29, was located by members of the Muse Volunteer Fire Department in the woods behind 153 Cumer Road after the fall was called into first responders by the man’s wife, Linda.

Police said Steve Powell was taken to the hospital by SouthBridge EMS after complaining of a back injury.
