Mother and Son from North Strabane Jailed for Theft, Burglary, Other Charges

Both were remanded to the Washington County Jail on Monday.

A mother and son from North Strabane were jailed Christmas eve on burglary, theft and other charges.

The charges against Nicholas Cessna, and his mother, Pamela Cessna, 53, were filed by North Strabane policeβ€”and the Observer Reporter newspaper indicates the couple are accused of stealing thousands of dollars in gold jewelry from a neighbor.

Online court records indicate both were remanded to the Washington County Jail on $50,000 after being arraigned Monday by district Judge Jay Weller. Nicholas Cessna remains an inmate there as of Thursday morning, while his mother later made bail.

Nicholas Cessna was also charged with driving under the influence, receiving stolen property and conspiracy, according to online court records.

Pamela Cessna was also charged with receiving stolen property and conspiracy, according to online court records.

Both have preliminary hearings set for 11 a.m. Jan. 7 before Weller.
