Preliminary Hearing for Alleged Canonsburg Drug Dealer Continued

Eric Chronister was originally set to appear before a district judge on Thursday.

The preliminary hearing for a Canonsburg man charged with drug-related offenses set for Thursday was continued.

Now, Eric Chronister, 29, is set to appear before district Judge David Mark at 9:30 a.m. March 14.

Canonsburg police charged Chronister with possession of drugs, possession of drugs with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia last week.

He was arrested after police served a search warrant on his home and discovered pounds of marijuana compressed in bricks, as well as paraphernalia, the Observer-Reporter indicated.

Chronister was arraigned before Mark, who remanded him to the Washington County Jail on $50,000 bond, according to online court records.

He was later released on bond, according to the Washington County Jail website.
