Thank You Notes, Blue Ribbons Cropping Up Around Cecil

Blue ribbons and thank you notes keep cropping up across as a tribute to retiring long-time Cecil police Sgt. Tom Weaver.

Members of the recently posted a thank you message on the sign outside their department—one of many tokens of appreciation seen in the township.

Weaver's daughter, Angela, spearheaded the Sergeant Weaver Blue Ribbon Tribute.

"So many blue ribbons appearing and I LOVE it!!" Angela Weaver wrote on the event's Facebook page this week. "We still have time until the 18th so please keep putting those blue ribbons out there, lets fill the whole township!! Love you all, thanks!!"
