Three Local Volunteer Fire Departments Receive Grants

Canonsburg, Muse and Cecil all received money.

Three local volunteer fire departments serving the Canon-McMillan Patch area have received grant money through the Fire Company Volunteer Ambulance Services Grant Program.

The program is administered through the Pennsylvania Office of the State Fire Commission.

According to the department's website, Canonsburg Volunteer Fire Department was awarded $13,116 in grant money.

Cecil Township Volunteer Fire Department received $11,816, while the Muse Volunteer Fire Department received $11,500.

The Fire Company and Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant Program provides an annual grant program for volunteer and career fire companies, volunteer ambulance services and rescue squads according to the website.
