Beware of I-79 Restrictions Thursday and Friday
The restrictions will be in place both Thursday and Friday, according to PennDOT.
The state Department of Transportation District 12 is advising motorists that there will be single-lane restrictions on Interstate 79 at Exit 40 (Meadow Lands) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.
There will also be single-lane closures on from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday and Friday.
The closures will be in effect to allow crews to remove the concrete barriers, apply pavement markings in order to switch traffic back onto the mainline Interstate 79.

Traffic will be switched over at 6 a.m. Friday.
PennDOT also reminds motorists to be alert for changing traffic patterns in all work zones.
