roads are in "almost excellent condition" Saturday afternoon, in the wake of an ice and snow storm that pummeled the region Friday night into this mornng.
"I must tell you that our road crews have been out around the clock and continue to go out to improve conditions," Mayor David H. Rhome said early Saturday afternoon.
But he did advise motorists to take it slow and be careful, as there are still some slick spots on certain side streets.
Manager Frank Siffrinn said the township's road crew was called out last night, and that roads in the community are completely clear.
"Our roads are clear to the pavement and starting to slowly dry out," he said.
Manager Don Gennuso said the same goes for the township's roads.
"The storm didn't seem to present the problems that were originally forecast," he said, adding that the road crew had been called out around 9:30 p.m. Friday. "All of our roads are clear. We don't anticipate any more problems."
