Five Things You Need to Know This Week

There's a lot going on this week. Here are five things you need to know.

1. Canonsburg Council will hold its voting meeting at 7 p.m. tonight—Monday—in the borough building. Among the items for consideration is a motion to accept the retirement of borough Manager Terry Hazlett. For more information about his retirement, click here.

2. Canon-McMillan school directors will hold their agenda meeting at 7 p.m. tonight—Monday—in the district administration building.

3. The Muse Fit Club will meet at the Muse Volunteer Fire Department. The hour-long workout starts at 6:30 p.m. The event is held each Tuesday and is free. Those interested in attending should bring a towel and a water bottle. For more information, click here.

4. The Frank Sarris Public Library will be hosting at Valentine's Day party for homeschoolers on Thursday. The library will welcome home-schooled or cyber-schooled students to bring their own valentines to share, or make some there . They will need a shoebox in order to make a mailbox for your valentines. Older children/teens, are asked to come to help the younger ones! Refreshments will be served. The library asks that participants pre-register, but not that no fee is required.
